Concessions

For TransLink integrated ticket product, TransLink has standardised concessions across all services to those who carry valid concession cards, offering travel at half the adult fare to:

Children 5 to 14 years of age. Infants 4 years and under travel free
Full-time primary & secondary school students are eligible for concession fares. However, secondary students, over the age of 14 years, must have an approved student identification card or be wearing a school uniform to be eligible for a concession fare.

* school students are also eligible to travel on Citytrain services only for 1/3 fare. See conditions outlined below.
Full-time tertiary & postgraduate students undertaking Austudy, Abstudy or Youth Allowance approved courses at Queensland TAFEs, universities and other approved educational institutions. A full-time student is deemed a student that must attend an approved educational institution/s in Queensland for a minimum period of 12 hours per week for the duration of the course. The course duration must be a minimum period of three months or 12 weeks.
Pensioners holding a current valid Pensioner Concession Card or Queensland Repatriation Health Gold Card issued by Centrelink or Department of Veteran's Affairs. The "Health Care Card" issued by Centrelink is NOT ACCEPTED for concession travel.
Seniors holding a Queensland Seniors Card are eligible for concession fares. Holders of a Queensland Seniors Business Discount Card are NOT entitled to concession travel.
Operator specific concessions will remain valid, but will be restricted to that operator's services only.
